Close to 1,000 people received their first dose of either the AstraZeneca or Sinopharm vaccine on April 3, 2021 in the first phase of a national vaccination program to eradicate the coronavirus.
The government currently has 72,000 doses of the vaccine in store, enough to inoculate 36,000 people. Healthcare workers and other frontliners will be prioritised before the vaccine is rolled out to other high-risk groups, and then to the general public. Video by Faiq Airudin
