Tiang Putih. Gathered from multiple historical and contemporary sources, the flags consist of symbols, icons and landscapes that constitute Brunei. These in turn are abstracted into their basic graphical form: shapes, textures, patterns and colours. The installation considers the possibility of symbology without the usual national representations such as panji-panji, the crescent, the distinct yellow of the Brunei national flag, among others.
