Full House, 2024

Full House

Typically lasting late into the night a game of lotto provides a chance for family members and friends to bond. It’s an activity where stories can be exchanged, laughs can be had and rezeki (blessings) can be shared with prizes. The name Full House denotes a lotto ticket with all numbers crossed off and a full household.

Across Brunei members in a household are slowly decreasing with the average number of occupants, according to the recent 2021 census, down to 5.1 members, lower than a high of 6.2 members in 2001. As households get smaller, games like lotto bring people together but are also strongly discouraged as often they are seen as being too loud and causing a public disturbance.

ASEF LinkUp | Asia-Europe Cultural Diplomacy Lab

ASEF LinkUp | Asia-Europe Cultural Diplomacy Lab took place from 24 to 27 October 2023 in Singapore. Through this project, ASEF aimed to create new spaces for encounters and capacity building where various agents involved in cultural cooperation (e.g. diplomats, managers, funders, artists) can meet and share knowledge and approaches from different regions. For the first edition of ASEF LinkUp, we have invited curators, arts managers and artists to “link-up” with the diplomats and cultural attaches based in Singapore and the ASEAN region.
