Youth completes inaugural next-gen leaders programme

Bruneian youth Faiq bin Airudin recently completed the Temasek Foundation – Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (TF-LKYSPP) Southeast Asia Next-Gen Leaders Programme.

With 600 applications from Southeast Asian to join the programme, 35 between the ages of 25 and 35 from ASEAN and Timor Leste were selected for the five-month programme.

Faiq, an executive officer at Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), said, “Alhamdulillah, it is an honour to be selected as the only Bruneian participant in the inaugural TF-LKYSPP programme. I hope to share the knowledge with my country, my organisation DARe, and the youth organisations I am actively part of, such as Just Bruneians.”

Creative Professionals Career Day 2023 – Just Bruneians

Getting your foot in the door, or even part of the conversation, requires luck, timing and of course talent. Part of the thinking behind the Creative Professionals Career Day is to remove elements of luck and increase the possibilities of better timing through networking and preparation. Free half-day event included talks and activities to help aspiring and young creative professionals develop their career skills. Working creatives from Progresif, OddBox Pictures, Playquarters and Coffee Bean shared their insights and conducted 1-on-1 portfolio mentoring sessions. 

There was also a short talk on media literacy and online etiquette as part of the ASEAN Digital Literacy Programme.
